.17 HMII, HMR & .22 Magnum
Suppressors

There can be a bit of confusion surrounding the HMR and Magnum rifles. Basically, there are three rifles that fall under this heading.
HMII (HM2) This caliber is .17 that uses the standard .22lr hyper-velocity cartridges necked down to accommodate the .17 projectile - travelling at over twice the speed of sound.
HMR. This caliber is also .17 but uses the .22MAGNUM cartridge necked down to accommodate the .17 projectile. The HMR .17 travels at three times the speed of sound.
.22 MAGNUM. Still a rimfire, but using a much heavier .22 projectile with the larger and more powerful MAGNUM cartridge, traveling at over twice the speed of sound.
The .17HMII suppressor is standard bio-tech and optional wet-fire.
The .17HMR & .22 MAGNUM require double lined suppressors, also including wet-fire kit.
Both type of suppressor has the option of internal/external muzzle-brake.
Many shooters are attracted to the flat projectory, long distance accuracy and hard-hitting ballistics of the .17HMII, .17HMR & .22MAGNUM cartridges.
Trouble is - that they are all VERY loud - travelling at between twice and three times the speed of sound!
Here's the thing - it doesn't matter whether the bullet is travelling at ONE, TWO or THREE times the speed of sound - you still only get ONE sonic boom as it breaks the sound barrier.
My magnum suppressors are double lined to handle these massive ballistics - and will remove everything except the sonic crack - which no suppressor in the world can remove.
Added to this, my wet-fire kit will change that rumbling sonic boom that sounds like thunder - to a sharp quick crack.
You have a few more options - one of which is a custom external muzzle-brake. With a .17 or .22 magnum - the muzzle-brake will distribute around 15dB sideways from the suppressor and rifle and making it this mush louder for the shooter. However, it will also make your shot this same amount quieter down-range where your prey is. In effect the muzzle-brake further camouflages your shooting position.
Page is under construction - with streaming video added shortly.
In the meantime, you can watch a video from one of my customers.
