The Ruger 10/22 is arguably the most common and versatile rim-fire rifle in the world, possibly due to its reliability and complete range of aftermarket parts, modifications and accessories.

While the above is all true, the 10/22 shares the drawbacks of all semi-auto rifles, mainly a loss of accuracy and increased noise even when suppressors due to the semi automatic cycling of the firing mechanism - as compared to the more accurate and quiet bolt action rifles. Having said that, my own 10/22 is one of my most versatile and fun rifles to shoot.

Photo to left: I hope this doesn't offend anyone. I took my 10/22 out for a night's shoot with this amazing over-barrel suppressor. Shooting subs, it was so quiet that no body, not even the rabbits - knew I was there! This furry critter popped his head up at around 55 meters away. I had dismounted the bipods to make it lighter to carry, and due to a mist on the ground - didn't want to attempt a shot at this range, mainly due to sparing the rabbit from pain or wounding. So - the stalk began! You know what it's like, the bunny running for around 15 meters, stopping to look, pausing then running again. I managed to shorten the distance to around 35 meters, turned on my digital scope mounted torch - and darn, all that happened was that the fog blocked my view! The solution? Aiming from the hip, I activated the lazer and placed it directly in the middle of its head. Breaking the trigger like glass, a sub went fizzing towards it target - with that muffled thud we've come to recognize as an accurate hit. Perfect shot, instant kill, very quiet, and one more successful night's shooting!

I have made many custom 10/22 suppressors over the years, but have never actually owned one of the world's most common and famous rifles - until now!

I finally bought one from a customer - a stainless and synthetic carbine with rare 17.5" barrel, worked trigger & sear etc.

I am now offering a range of custom and purpose tuned 10/22 suppressors - so call back often for updates of photos, specs and video.

Question: How will these 10/22 tuned suppressors be any different from other rim-fire moderators?

Answer: Having made custom suppressors for every type of rimfire rifle available in NZ - it doesn't take long to discover that each model rifle has its own unique characteristic in regards to ballistics and rifle crack (this is similar to different rifles preferring different types of ammunition). I have also owned most of the dozens of rifle brands available in NZ - and found them each to require a special and different calibrating within the suppressor internals - such as the material they are made from, the spacing of the suppression chambers, the length and the diameter of the suppressor body. Because I have owned each rifle model, I can thoroughly test, experiment and record the specifications - with the goal of producing the most advances and efficient 10/22 suppressors available world-wide.
