Home-Schooling

Although having six children (heaps more if you include their spouses and partners) we are finally down to home-schooling our last three. Update: August 2009. Our son Sam has begun his secondary education at Rutherford College - and is doing really well. We are proud of the way he has integrated into mainstream education, and how he has risen to the challenge of academics and his peers.

So - we are now down to our last two :-)

Home-schooling is not schooling at home. It is more holistic, and while it does involve book-work, it is also learning life skills and integration into society.

My wife Debbie is the main teacher. I just help in some of the more kinesthetic topics - such as engineering and science, and mainly because then I get to play with all the good toys!
